Homeplanet colonies start with the same structures and abilities as they have during civilization stage. I haven't tried it yet... but I'm guessing if you use a colony creation kit on your homeplanet in some empty space, like maby after a crappy colony gets killed, you get access to the good guns/factories on your home planet.

BTW, regarding ship weaons... Once you get the shield and the mega bomb you can pretty much take out an entire home planet in a single run without any help from allies.

But in the Bible we are told in Genesis 6:7 ├óÔé¼┼ôSo the LORD said, ├óÔé¼┼ôI will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth├óÔé¼ÔÇ£men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air├óÔé¼ÔÇ£for I am grieved that I have made them.├óÔé¼┬Ø├óÔé¼┬Ø

In what dimension you found that extra n?

I dont think thats a rickroll, I dont know a rickroll then I see one, but I know that one of the things you never have to search very far to find are people stupid enough to do a certain stupid thing.

I discovered that there is some kind of "galatic code" in the game, some sort of rulebook. Certain uber weapons such as those who destroy planets/ all their life or conquer then in one shot break it and then that happens your relations with all empires near of that area lowers a lot. So save before using uber weapons to be sure :)

It ended in Rick Astly's 'Never gonna give you up' lyrics, its a rick roll. It be hilarious if the bible was really written by god and he put a rickroll in there, but it was not written in english.

OHHHH. I hadnt noticed the numbers indicating that those are being show as passages from the bible. I tough she was just saying some pieces of musics that reminded that passage to make herself sound more convincing.

The fact that I never though someone would have so much work to make a joke she wont even be able to see the faces of the victims after applying also helped :)

Spores funny in that its five games in one. Five underdeveloped games that make an overall fun but disappointing experience.
Its sad but each stage failed on several levels, some worse than others.

Cell phase: Probably the most simple, but also the most fun. The combat is dynamic and there is actually an ecosystem. But very short, and lacking in the number of parts.

Creature phase: Probably the most disappointed here. The editor is awesome. But the game play sucks. Unlike the cell phase, there is no ecosystem. Shore there predators and herbivores, but they just stick around there nest, waiting for you to come dick with them. Not to mention every nest you go to is some random ass species. It should have generated a simple food web with like 15 creatures. When I finally went to the space stage. The aliens didn├óÔé¼Ôäót seem alien at all. There the same random ass critters I├óÔé¼Ôäóve been meeting the whole game.

There was a test program for the creature phase that hit it spot on. I have no idea why they changed it.

Tribal phase: Isn├óÔé¼Ôäót really bad, just not much to it, feels like something you got to dredge thru to get to the next phase. Yet again could have been awesome with more content and depth.

Civ phase: I Was extremely excited when I got to build my own tank and buildings. It seemed to have a lot more control because of the simple shapes. But I was horribly pissed when I found out the guns you put on don├óÔé¼Ôäót do anything. The damn thing summons 1 fucking bullet out of no ware relative to its guns and lobs the shit. Plus you can only build one land, sea and air combat unit. Did they even try to make a good rts.

Space Phase: Defiantly has more depth than the other phases, and is pretty much the only one with unique game play. Although Controlling a fleet via a simple Space Empires kind of game along with the escape velocity single avatar game would have been a lot better.

All of the above mentioned lack of depth and complexity is simply because they wanted to hit a wide demographic. But sadly, you can please some of the people some of the time. But you can├óÔé¼Ôäót please all of the people all of the time.

I just wish it had been made more for the people that like games, like me. Instead of my mom. :(

Indeed I would say that in most parts strategy gamers are the ones who hated spore the most, as they were especting it to be a awesome strategy game but find something aimed elsewhere...

Good thing I like all sorts of games, especially games that make me fell like god :)

what like when I was making "freinds" with some critters and a mob of them are eaten by another pack? Or what about the time when I watched a pack eat another and take their nest? Or when my hunt was interrupted by an epic creature eating my hunting party and the entire nest that I was after?

Also the random assed creatures is what makes the game awesome, the epic creature that ate my hunting pack and a nest was a ~40ft squirrel!

Maybe you are just doing what I did my first run though, om noming the nearest creatures and doing as little as possible. I have wandered the continent and made it a point to friend anyone with cool anything on sporepedia so I absolutely get their creatures.. and you know what, I have a fight and a half on my hands most of the time. If you just try to grind through creature stage then you will be bored and on easy most creatures do nothing. On hard/normal I have found packs of aggressive creatures 2-3 nests away from home and they fuck up my day.

Tribal sucks.

Civ is fun when you do more than expect earth 2150

space, I got attacked by flying nintendo(famicon) controlers. THAT WAS WEIRD!

The first 4 stages are just friendly setup to the space stage. Space stage is the only stage that's really going to tickle the nuts of a hardcore gamer. The earlier stages are FOR the casual gamer. Will Right is trying to coax them into a game play situation where they can approach the more complex and dynamic space stage because the earlier stages of given them a backdrop for most of the gameplay already. And ultimately, to be fair, the early stages aren't unfun, they are very fun, they are just disappointingly simple if you were hoping for a game where procedural game play is actually a dominant factor. I was hoping for DF where you progressively got to play through the simulated life of every stage. That's not what I got, sure, but there is still something solid here.

On DRM: I can agree with the point that DRM certainly doesn't stop pirates, it just effects customers... But that REALLY doesn't justify not buying the game to me. I must have repurchased starcraft like 4 times by now, because old copies got their disk scratched when I wanted to reinstall, or I lost the case and therefore the CD key. Once I just needed a new copy to play with my other PC over battle net. DRM is an obstical, but it's part of the EULA, if the game developer wants you to jump through hoops to play their game, it kind of makes them assholes, but it doesn't make their game not worth playing. Ideally everyone uses steam's system, where I pay for the games on my account, and I can use those games on any system, but ONLY from my account, and ONLY one system at a time can be logged in from that account. That way even if I lose the disk, as long as I have the account password I still have the account. The reality is, game disks don't make it very easy to do that way, and so companies are going to require you to jump through hoops still, at the imaginary ideology that they are somehow putting the slightest dent in piracy.

Its so easy to glance over the stages of spore as simple. Playing on hard you see tonnes of emergent behaviour and effects. I saw creatures in my new game playing on the shore in the water and drinking then a nearby nest of things came over and attacked them then got killed.
