Best Free Webhosting

Post by REVENGE »

I want to setup a website, possibly mirror a few files, experiment, maybe add a CMS or forum. Doesn't need a ton of storage space. What's the best FREE hosting I can get?

Oh also, what's a good CMS with a lot of different plugin modules? Ones I'm looking for would be forum, blog-style news posting, video and audio streaming, and file management.

Crappy cheap hosting >>> free hosting. I'm on servage.net for about $12/mo; it's infinitely better than any of the free hosting sites.

I considered doing that, and I have offers, but...I'd rather not.

Peet, I'm not willing to spend $144 bucks a year for even cheap crappy hosting, because I most certainly will not use whatever it offers. :P

What he said, or if you like, I or AF would prolly be happy to give you some space on our servers. Not like we don't have plenty to spare.

Yes, because he definitely understands what a virtual host actually is.

*Protip: Most people don't understand right off the top of their head what a virtual host actually is. For that matter, a lot of people don't understand what you mean exactly when you say dedicated host. Much less, shared hosting. Yes in many way's it's self explanatory, but not everyone understands right away, so layman's terms don't hurt you deep inside do they?

Ok, I'm not net-illiterate, and even if I was, I certainly understand how to use the Wikipedia. :P

I already have a piggy-backing offer from Sefidel, I know AF is trying hard to use up all his wasted bandwidth, and thank you FA.

Best ever.
No ads (the error pages are full of them though :-) ), maximum control and even some good support! I've been using free accounts for two years now, and they've never let me down.

Wow, this actually looks pretty damn nice. I think I'll give it a try.
