having 90% of teachers female is one thing but making boys get bad grades because they got all the answers in the test correct? that would make it bloody easy to pass. yet you do ned to learn. so heres the plan.
when you get the test, instantly put your name in a other details. when the test starts answer every question with a letter of the alphabet. record all the questions on a piece of paper and hide it.
make the test up from the questions you have got at home and do the test there with the correct answers. that way you get good marks and your acutaly learing.

I was going to post here something along the lines of "evolutionary psychology + differences in time and energy invested in child-bearing => psychological and physiological differences that lead to a difference in competence in certain roles (obviously, statistically, because individuals can vary widely)"
but meh. titties.

Re: Reverse Sexism?
THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REVERSE SEXISM, IT'S JUST SEXISM, JUST LIKE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REVERSE RACISM.
Just needed to get that out.

You can get them to do social cleansing for you, bulldozing poor cityparts like the ninth ward. Water can get you rid of so many things - and if the damage is minor (just 180 Million$ to renew the damaged socialFlats) (700 Million$ for completely new building them (far far away)outside of the ´New´[<New now meaning, old SouthernRacism meats GayDisneyland] Orleans)smoth wrote:ha ha ha go live in new orleans and try to get a state worker to do something.
In memoria of a poor Ex-Cuban Sugarcanefieldworker who had maggots in a wound of his right food and who probably is one of the propably 1800 Deads that got burried- by a privat Company.

I was going to say those exact words, only less large and less red.Das Bruce wrote:THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REVERSE SEXISM, IT'S JUST SEXISM, JUST LIKE THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS REVERSE RACISM.

Sexism isnt something men do to women, racism isnt something white folks do to black folks.
Sexism against men has always been around. 'Women and children first', for example. That means men are the last on the life-boats or the last to be rescued. Something i hear often in the news is 'Not even sparing women and children' or 'even killing the women and children' during wartime atrocities or mass murders or such, as if killing a woman is a worse act than killing a man. Even the idea of giving up your seat to a perfectly able-bodied young woman is sexist. Though there is implicit in all this that women are weak and need protecting- but there is also the implication that they are valuable enough to be more worthwhile protecting than a man, to the point that a man should lay down his life for a woman.
I suppose we can think of reverse x-ism as 'positive' x-ism though. Say, for example, if i go to a lot of other countries people will assume i am trustworthy, rich and law-abiding just because im a westerner. Does this mean people from that country are racist towards their own nation, race, culture etc? Or just that they have a positive racism towards westerners?
Re: Reverse Sexism?
Predjudices for the worx, i guess, and there is no dirty workaround, they are allready the most dirty workaround- guess i just don´t trust those who claim they get along without.
That woman &children first thing is kind of funny old-school, i guess nobody would be so stupid today- except it is your own woman or child in danger..
On the other Hand, think of Titanic- if you had the choice to impress Kate Winslet for a cold drink on the Rock, would you do it?
Total equal means, in Theory, you get the same shit served to Man, as long as it is not some hardcoded retarded impress-her behaviour, in that case, i am discrimanted by Natural Selection (Mother Evolution is doing the Choice ;( ) i am going to lawsuit her till the end of time

Re: Reverse Sexism?
There is never going to be 0 sexism, and I think that is a good thing because men and women ARE different, so they should be treated differently... off course, its hard to get that different treatment right :)

There is nothing so unequal as the equal treatment of unequals.

There are some people in Louisiana who still do the open doors for women thing in an attempt to be polite and I've received strange looks from people and guys before for opening doors for them. They don't seem to want me to open a door for them or offer them a seat.

Re: Reverse Sexism?
I don't agree that sexist/racist subsidies is "reverse racism/sexism". The reality is that there are social stigmas about people of different races and sexes, and it's ignorant to ignore those issues entirely.
I don't agree with the statement of said german teacher, but the job market can definitely be a more difficult place for women. If I'm designing an algorithm to have 2 competing seeds grow at the same rate, I'm an idiot if I just assume that they are equal in value and thus will end up at the same finishing point because the universe is inherently a fair place.
That being said, I personally prefer to class people on income bracket and social environment. A black person from the ghetto isn't poor because he's black and therefore unable to learn or work hard, he's poorly educated because the schools he grew up with sucked, poor neighborhoods promoted criminal activities and influenced him, and he doesn't know very many people who can reasonably give him a stepping stone at the bottom of the job market. The seeds of the problem have nothing to do with race, but race is a consistent factor because American economics and culture actively keep poor people poor and historically DID enforce poverty on black people.

Re: Reverse Sexism?
the fact that it's not 'cool' to be seen as intelligent in western [ive seen this in NZ, and from what ive heard (not through movies etc kthx) the US is the same] youth culture doesnt help that in any way. neither does the glorification of the 'gangsta' lifestyle in music and the media.
that being said, i'll give up my seat on a bus/train/whatever for a pregnant woman, anyone with small children, or old people. As a mark of respect, and the vague karmic expectation that if my wife was pregnant (im talking obviously pregnant), or if i was with a small child, or my grandmother was on a bus with no seats left, someone would offer them theirs.

Swift, balanced and a dead to any Thread through well done reasoning, speared.
I have nearly the same Opinion as Swift, but i am against completely victimize someboday, there are always People who da Capo even a Degrading System, make them selfes comfortable in it´s limits, and stop others from reaching escape Velocity. But for not attempt to understand & change those Circumstances the Majority of a Society is to blame.

One of the Reasons People can´t leave is that they life a live like in a diffrent culture, country at the far down, so above that, it´is all new territory, they enter like complete Aliens, although born and raised maybe even in the same city.

PS: Pressurline, i guess most people here would do the same, but ask yourself, if you were a Veteran, you lost a leg, would one of them do the same favour for you?
No, they wouldn´t, as long as there isn´t social pressure from other busriders, i am sorry to say it, but humans are quite selfish, as long as they can upkeep the image intact that they have of themselves. But still, we all have a seat to offer...

Re: Reverse Sexism?
I think the most correct would be for those people who need it to ask somebody to lend then a seat. Sounds unpolite, but it shouldnt.
