Floopy Parallel port
Ok how would I go about making a computer 'pretend' to be a floppy drive to whatever's plugged on the other end of a parallel port cable? I knwo its possible but googles full of pages on how to add floppy drives to virtual machines.

Re: Floopy Parallel port
Operating systems involved?
Why parallel? You could do the same thing via serial could you not?

Re: Floopy Parallel port
No because the hardware on the other end of the cable has 2 parallel ports.
On one end would be a PC most likely windows XP, on the other end is a snes.

Oh.
You need a go<->between interface, and I'm not sure what to tell you there.
But an snes? Why not just use snes9x and get everything else from TPB?

Re: Floopy Parallel port
because snes9x and other snes emulators dont come with real snes controllers

Sorry for that. Just use this little gadget. I knew I'd seen them somewhere.

Pipe the output to lpt1...
I'd just buy an ordinary SNES to what ever adapter. Actually, I'd get a PS2 pad and a USB adapter, because the SNES pad is pretty much useless for everything else.

Re: Floopy Parallel port
on linux, you could set up a creative parallel port interfacing program ^__^
Re: Floopy Parallel port
I have a PC parallel port to C64 serial port adapter...
