Hello, I have a radeon X1300 with Omega Drivers and a very low fps - 2 or 3 fps generally. The settings are all very mediocre. I followed the instructions in the common questions thread. Still this did not work.
What should I do?
Thanks in advance!

Re: very low FPS
Somehow the problem got solved...
I played around with the settings a bit, turning several options on and off...
I don't remember which ones it was, but now I'm back to (what I think are) the same settings, same detail levels etc. but I have a stable 60 fps
Anyways thanks for your help!

Re: very low FPS
Im having a similar Problem.
sometimes when i start a game i get stuck on 0 - 1 fps. The problem is this is not always the case.
When i start my compy, join/host a game and everything works fine. I come home from work, go to join/host a game and it starts at 0 - 1 FPS. normally atl+tab out and then back into spring fixes this. Leave the computer for a few more hours or play a few more games, and the alt+tab out and back in method stops working. Even when i run Spring.exe straight (Test Spring) it does this. This problem is starting to piss a few people off as i cant tell when its about to happen and i have to bail out of games at the start. Simple fix would be to restart compy whenever i wanna play, but it would be nice to not have to :)
It does this on XTA 9, 9.44 | BA 6.21, 6.31 | the newest 3 stable CA builds. and on any map.
win xp pro
CPU: E8400 3ghz @1330mhz fsb (affinity set to 1 core for spring)
GPU: 8800GT 512mb (threaded optimization off for spring)
Ram: 2gb ddr2 800mhz dual channel corsair xms2
Sorry if i didnt give enough info... not sure whats relevant :S

Re: very low FPS
I also get this. I have a similar CPU and graphics card. I get it less since I turned off ground decals and turned down the shadow setting from maximum to a lower setting. Still get it sometimes though.
Re: very low FPS
check your terrian detail. You can reduce this in game - press "end". I have only 30, but always +20 fps
Re: very low FPS
Might help. When this bug doesn't occur my fps is fine though. It's always either fine (about 35-40) or very occasionally gets this thing where it's about 0.5 and I often have to restart.
I suspect that the next spring build might fix this.
