Are They Trying To Kill Me?

Post by SinbadEV »

The Nintendo DS was insane, and it turned out pretty well...

but this: http://www.macworld.com/news/2005/09/16 ... /index.php

I just don't know how they are going to sell it....

interestingly enough, it looks like if you turned it 90% it could be used like a classic NES controller...

and the whole wireless, motion sensor thing is pretty nifty...

but they are causing me to feel physical pain.

It's fucking awesome!

Think of the posibiletys! You can hold like a sword and have real life fencing! Or maybe hold it sideways to make it inot a space controll turning pad!

And think of the addons. You can have lotsa diffrent of them. Meaning that you proably can ''add'' on a normal contoller on it.

BAH! You are just afraid of change! You don't know untill you try it!

But what do i know, i havent tryed it iether.

Yes they are trying to kill you.

Maybe they are trying to cater to people that spend all their time in front of the tv channel surfing. This particular design would quickly become a natural extension of their arm just like their remote controls, and give them a competitive edge over those who have been playing games for years (since it calls for very little remote use). Having this "edge" wil keep them from becoming instantly disgusted with the games as before when they commonly found themselves getting destroyed by opponents both human and ai.

The world of gaming is about to be turned upside down! Only he who can surf channels the fastest will become top dog of the Nintendo Revolution gaming world! Those who cannot attain at least 300 channels per minute need not apply.

BAH!

Think of it as a virutal reality ''stick'', in remote controll form!
Stop complaning and think positive!

The games i think would be awesome.

A Zelda game. Think of controlling links movement bye ither buttons or bye movin you hand! choose another wepon, and do a movement to use it! Trow bombs with your downwards flash, trow the bommerang bye aculy swinging the controller as if you where trowing it.

A spaceship game. You would lead it around with the controller, and it would follow your every move. Think playing with a toyplane.

Tennis/baseball/olympic/fishing ect.... you get the deal, don't ya?

A skateboard game where you have to spin the controller to make you do a kickflip and other stuff.

and i belive nintendo will do even MORE wacky and WONDERFULL game ideas. i mean, they made this controller, did'nt they?

and as you (andI) said, if you turn it 90 degrees to the left, it could work exactly like an NES controler.

I'm actually feeling a lot better about it now that I've read more... I must be going "fanboy" again.. YAY NINTENDO!

I'm going sit down on my couch for the next 72 hours straight and practice for when this comes out. I'll be sure to throw in some spins and waving too just so I'm ready for everything. 8)

Looks really... really....really.... really cool! But pricy, and im not sure many nongamers will shell out 100 buckaroos just for a new controller. I wouldent, and im a gamer.

W00T!) and of course for spring  that controller would be PERFECT for flying a X-Wing or better yet a Stardestroyer! 8) 8)

Some poeople are missing the point. Thats the nitendo revolution controller. Its not for the PC. Its for the nintendo reveloution. So you cant have it for your PC!

I've seen a picture of it plugged into a wavebird style controller in a similar way to dreamcast controller. I'd get the pic, but the site where I saw it is down :?

Heh, what I really would like is a dedicated gaming system for guns, like the old NES pistol for duckhunt and the like, the gun could keep your position relative to the screen, and you could actually start dodging shots in your living room! that'd be sweet!

And with multiplayer support, you could have a MORPG type world were you could duel each other, buy better guns (you probably have to stick to particular makes of guns though) and upgrades?

the game could standard come with a pistol, rifle, SMG and some heavy artillery like a grenade launcher? ofcourse you have to unlock your guns for use so you can't start playing with your AK-47 gunning down everyone with it, you first have to earn it ;)

Don't steal my idea now :)

You could probably get a gun frame to stick the controller in :-)

Found the pic:
