it's the default in counterstrike which is a similar situation (specs can observe map overview and ghost for players).

+1. No need to risk having chitty chatty specs give away your position during matches, or being assholes in general.

tried it but it doesn't work, specs could always talk no matter how many times i cycled it on and off

I think that was the case when I tried it too.

hmm seems it is broken in 76b1 (got fixed in 5323, 76b1 is 52..).
