Epic RTS
well, this is about epic rts, my mod, it needs a better name but i cant think of any yet, enough about that, lets get to the mod!

it will have 3 factions, robots,aliens and spirituals

-Robots:
they will be in a style similar to this:

the idea of the robots is that they can adapt themselfes to almost everything, a few examples: you can build ships and infantry, but those ships can change to infantry of the same price/group very cheap and fast, this also works for vehicles and tanks, basicly you arnt making a class 1 ship/tank/whatever, but a class 1 unit
also robot planes will be able to 'fly' underwater behaving like a plane
and more...

-Xenon:
they are biologicly and mechanicly enhanced aliens focussing on mobility and defence, theyre buildings can liftoff from the ground and fly, they can land again or stay in the air, they wont lose functionality in the air and there will be no diffrence in what units can attack them(well, if they fly anti air can attack them)
all their buildings will have some sort of defence

-Spirituals
i havent done anything on them yet, but i do have some info:
they can be in good or evil mode, good mode gives buildings an aura, healing friendly units, and more
evil mode will give buildings an aura dameging enemy's
there will be more thing diffrent a mode but i dont know that yet

-Resources
i am keeping metal and energy, maps are focussed on those two but i might add a bonus resource to the faction(s) example for spirituals: when spiritual units die on good mode their soul is saved and can be used to purcase something if you enough souls and in evil mode it saves the enemys soul, just an example.

spirtuals, robots, and the whole mod need a cool name, if you think of anything that will help me(a name, suggestion, ect..) tell me

Goals:
-fun!!
-three completely diffrent playing and looking factions (no deployment mode becaus of this)
-balancing in a way that the game is fun and everyone has a fair chance in the beginning, middle and end
-once there is a basic, working balanced version with the units there will be campaigns!
-there will be something like chickens integrated

Id suggest starting smaller than this. Start with one faction, do its core units, test how it plays (It NEVER works in game precisely as you imagined) and get a solid idea of it, something playable.

If you really think you have an interesting idea for a game design, try prototyping its gameplay with units from another mod (I wont say OTA, its easier to start from another base- but OTA is the only base content we really have). See how it plays before you finish all the units models and such.

heh, i shoudnt post stuff thats doesnt has a beta yet, it will get updates when i have a version with one faction done till tier 1

hmm i need epic to indicate that its epicness, but this isnt even a pre alpha yet and what i wrote in the above post isnt how its really gonna be, but everyone will see later, if you want me to rename, sure, didnt know about epic legions, i have enough time to think of another cool name :-)
