that is some serious conspiracy theory af. Logos are something neuralize does, and while either of you can benefit to some VERY small degree with the logo stuff isn't it a wee bit hypocritical to attack neuralize for the very thing you are doing?

Its the means not the ends, that is the difference. And as I said, it was not an attack.

Well, I honestly do like some of the stuff neuralize does but I think that it would not be a bad idea to use the current discussion to create some color varients of the current "official logo"

The company I work for has over 7 different color treatments for it's logo and even green friendly logos. I think it would definitely be neat if you two were both trying to boost resume that you should collaborate together on some color treatments. What I see in your posts that would concern me if I were an employer is that you have a tendency to not work well with others. It would be good to establish that you can. The real hard part of the real world is not having talent, many of us have that. It is that you have to work with people you may or may not like. Use these situations to demonstrate that.

Spring needs a metal-style logo. Something along the lines of this:

But of course replace the pentagram with the sun logo.

There is nothing wrong with having some artistic license taken with the treatments of the logo, on a banner, so long as the intent is not obfuscatory in nature. For example, I would not object to a Machio-style banner, so long as the color scheme was correct- it's a random banner, so it's no giant evil if it looks good and provides visual variety.

The banner is not, and should not be, the end-all and be-all of branding.

It's more important to see consistent treatment of the logo art elsewhere, imo- the main thing the banner pages need to do is shine visually, and be attractive, whilst displaying the logo in a way that's recognizable, even if not entirely standard.

actually argh, when it comes to branding. Yes, there is.

unless the alternate is a documented and accepted alternative it violates the branding.

If we want the logo and text to adhere to a strict standard, then we just need a TIFF made up, with layers kept intact, so that the position and look of the logo and text are always exactly the same. Simple enough to deliver.

However, I don't think it really does anything useful, besides making all of the possible banner layouts very similar. Which is not a good idea.

Aside from the logo image itself, the rest of it should, imo, be up to the banner artist. Otherwise we're just going to end up with a bunch of banners that look pretty much the same- logo and text on the left, some imagery on the right. No flexibility of layout. Boring.

At any rate, I don't plan on waiting for a collective decision on that, I'd rather get some work done, and it can be replaced later if there's consensus, as we now have a design actually worth putting time into, content-wise.

you do not need the psd and af has provided several versions of the file. Idealy a svg would be good but meh. You should read up on branding argh, it would be very good for you to learn about.
