spring wont start

So, i just got a brand new computer. fresh install of windows, all updates and everything that i can find, but no matter what spring crashes.

this is something in the map, trying a diffrent map might work, also youre using an ati card, alot of ati problems are becaus of drivers this might be the problem

You are missing an OpenGL extension needed to use shadowmaps (fragment_program_shadow)

ati just doesnt support opengl that good, and if you changed drivers try the one on which it did work, if you didnt change try updating the drivers

i was wondering that was the problem. I'd heard that, especially with the new 4800 series, opengl support was bad. thanks though
