working great, just started it and already one game was being played :D

I'm wondering how i can set the starting area for the map deltasiegedry to left and right and not up&down as it starts using defaults ?

Players had to change that using springie commands...it worked well, though :)

Thanks Licho

edit: can someone else give the botflag for ShokAuto, since betalord hasn't been online for a while... thx :)

Springie automatically remembers starting boxes, it will set those once you change to this map later.

mmh this doesn't seem to work...

i type in "!split v 25" but next time, when i start the server its back to the default (north east something)

another thing i'm wondering is, how to set the default mod options...

on BA 6.31 i'd like to set the "game end mode" to "kill everything" ... i have no clue how that works...

it doesn't finde the "game end mode" modoption

It saves map boxes on GAME START
You have to start game there.

!listoptions and !setopions + presets is what you search for.

In my experience it appears to save boxes on game exit, and only when game is completed normally (starting a game and using !exit doesn't work) or perhaps there's other mysterious forces at work that caused my boxes not to be saved..

This method works for me: Setup boxes, start game 1 player so they win immediately. Click finish. Boxes should be saved.

Not sure if this has been brought up before but there are some issues with !dlmap.

Code: Select all

!dlmap http://www.darkstars.co.uk/downloads/view.php?file=spring/maps/neurope_a7.sd7&dl=1
saves the correct file, but with the name:
neurope_a7.sd7&dl=1
Springie reports success, but the resulting file is useless. It seems springie does a rather bad job of reading the filename from the url.. seems easy enough to fix.

Code: Select all

!dlmap http://spring.jobjol.nl/download.php?maincategory=1&subcategory=2&file=neurope_a7.sd7
saves a file with name:
maincategory=1&subcategory=2&file=neurope_a7.sd7
and content: "no deeplinking allowed."

It is easy to give springie a link that won't work and it will report success (any html/redirect link that does not point directly to a map file). Would it be possible to check the validity of the downloaded file?

K, sounds good. The first url is from darkstars with the filename issue, nothing to do with jobjol. I didn't check all the filehosts, but others I tried seemed to ok.

anti deeplinking prevents springie from downloading of jobjol.nl

Licho, if you are interested, give me a pm and i will send you a bypass link to download directly from jobjol

There are reports about springie/spring freezing randomly on startup with mods containing certain gadgets.

Its probably caused by interfering with spring related registry settings while spring loads lua.

To fix it use this springie:
http://springie.licho.eu/Springie.exe

if this alone wont help, disable spring window hiding.

Can you throttle the rate it sends messages?

Yes you can throttle every kind of command.
You cannot throttle messaging because you would have to slow down whole springie, since it has to do most commands in order.

There is no problem with rate, its just line size being limited afaik.

Because listmaps works ok.

I think freezes are caused by changes in registry settings..
try to set springie display settings same as spring you have on that machine..
