All the open world games I've played so far have almost universally all been complete crap. It's a nice thing to advertise with, but not much else. It's a good thing Blizzard knows this much.

I'm pretty sure they'll do some rather large changes to the gameplay too, and even if they don't, Diablo II was a 2D game running at 800x600. It's more than time for a graphical upgrade.

d2 is a action rpg if u dont liek that type of game dont play it.

its about hack and slash action isntead of questing and doing stuff that other rpg's focus on.

diablo 3 will be pwnsome its already got some improvements over diablo 2(extra skill bar slots)

the graphics look pwnsome and the gameplay is just like diablo 2 good action all round. Check the videos its impressive and i doubt this game will fail blizzard can do nuthing wrong it seems and this will be no exception diablo 3 will pwn no doubt

i liked how the barbarian jumps on the bridge and ghouls fall into the chasm on the gameplay video.

blizzard's cinematics are also always ahead of others <3

Starcraft 2 will be the same.
Open world doesnt mean you need to quest lke in oblivion or something..It just means you dont walk in 1 dictated path.

Can't believe I have to agree with you on this one. I guess it'll be like TitanQuest, which is a rather fun and good looking (fan made female nude/male hairy spartan models available! ) Diablo clone.

Personally I'm waiting for Sacred 2.

I'm mostly excited about Fantasy Zone II DX. Still looking forward to the Blizzard stuff, Crysis Warhead, Project Origin, Red Alert 3, whatever the hell ID Software is doing, etc of course. Oh and the Windows version of Space Giraffe which is supposedly in beta testing.

I would say Brutal Legend, Otomedius and Raiden IV but then I would just be reminding myself that I will need to buy an XBox 360 just to watch those games never get released here. Sigh.

Well, all Diablo versions (starting from the first) had random levels. That means you don't walk the same path ever again. Location chain was the same, yes, but each location was randomly generated. I don't think they will abandon that in the third game.
