Old news by now and most of you probably know...

Notable new features:
-The buttons look different.

-When you type something in the address bar it goes through your history and bookmarks and shows stuff... Sadly it bases the placement of items on the list strongly on how often you visit them, which means I've got an entry for a free ipod, a free iphone, free greeting cards, and free emoticons every time I try to type something. If you're on a shared computer I highly recommend you avoid crack/warez sites from now on, or else your mom will go on your computer, type something, and get a whole lot of questionable material, apparently being accessed constantly.

-Probably other stuff, but I haven't really noticed much else... it's supposed to be "faster". Since... Firefox was so slow before...

Also I think there's a download manager, but there's been a better download manager as a free add-on for ages so that's not really news.

In summary, if you find Vista to be a good upgrade, don't bother with Firefox 3, since there's nothing shiny and it doesn't ruin your computer.

Does it still behave horribly pathetically whenever it encounters a page with Javascript that it doesn't agree with? The single-threaded nature of FF's heavy emphasis on Javascript has always been its biggest flaw.

You can disable the so-called AwesomeBar via the options/preferences menu.

One of the primary features of 3.0 is supposed to be improved (lower memory and faster) javascript rendering I believe.

Opera isn't bad. It ust doesnt' have Greasemonkey and a zillion other useful extensions =]

Actually, the user scripts in opera are for the most part compatible with even the syntax of greasemonkey.

Nah, FF3 crashed every 10 minutes with java under ubuntu.
Using Iceweasel now and not going back.
