Sync Fail Linux/Window for official build (76b1)

Post by hoijui »

Is it normal that the official Windows spring does not sync with the Linux one? (Ubuntu hardy)

For me, it desyncs when in game, right from the start (sync error message appears and I can not get the Commander to move). In hte lobby, the clients sync ok.

sorry if this was answered somewhere else. just could not find it in the forum, FAQ or Wiki.

your lobby version is so old that doesn't support new protocol so you don't get the options correctly and desync at game start

thanks Brain Damage!

@koshi
sorry, guess i did get that message, sorry :/
it said something like: "your loby client is very old ..."
dont remember the ..., but must have been that, hm? :/
i compiled the latest springlobby now, with which it works.

the problem was:
i had an old springlobby build in /usr/local/bin/springlobby, which seems to come before /usr/bin/springlobby (where the new build was installed through apt) in my PATH.
sorry!

(i made a short entry in the Troubleshooting section in the Wiki)
