New Unit Models
New XTA unit models could be really good fot other OTA-based mods. The main reason I don't play the other OTA-based mods is that the units look the same, but are not.

Re: New Unit Models
That was, indeed, one of the main issues in the early life of Spring. People were used to oTA and were having problems with them beeing diferent in XTA while looking the same.Foe OfTheBee wrote:... The main reason I don't play the other OTA-based mods is that the units look the same, but are not.
Playing your first game of XTA is a little disorienting. You don't realize it until too late in your first game, and Sumos with 10k armor and hella-long-range lasers kill outlying defenders from a different time zone and walk through your base without much more than scratched paint. THEN you start actually looking at what HP different units have, and it's like sticker-shock.
