tbh any large unit will be military-wise impractical as it becomes a target for aerial bombardment. One of the reasons why the germans didn't build their gigantic super tanks.

All terrain units have six legs. It's a basic visual cue that should be kept.

The problem will be recognizing them from a distance. The OTA 'Guns with legs' method worked well so maybe you should make the guns bigger.
