Actually, there isn't any team color on the base metal. I suppose that's the sky reflecting or something. The only team color areas are the bright blue spots :P

You mean that's the same gray we saw earlier? It's really that reflective? If yeah... I'd tone it down a lot, tbh. Just my opinion, of course, but IRL, a shiny tank is a dead tank.

I think it looks better tinted like that than the plain grey it had before.

Yeah. I just thought that was the paint, not the shineh. The shineh's not a good thing, imo. A gray-blue like that wouldn't suck, though, and would take 30 seconds to execute, sans preshading.

some people cover their shit in rust and pointless paneling, I think the tank looks nifty. Let him have fun with it.

That's a lot better than the old 3.11 look... also take note of the proper normals there. :P

I think the cannon was dark on the bottom and bright on top, thus the normals should be correct.

That's an easy one. I'll add one like that to P.U.R.E., and you guys are more than welcome to "beta-test" in order to see what I've been up to. I'd really like Spiked's trees, if he's willing to make them available, World Builder needs all of the content it can get, and I can't concentrate on it right now.

I didn't comment before, so here's my reaction. It's going in a good direction, let's see some details. Maybe some simple panels with a few greebles, specific detail for stuff like the tire treads, and some dirt, wear and preshading? Oh yeah, and add lots of rust, everybody loves rust, right?

Indeed. and no rust, sorry Argh. since the only details on it currently are the headlights and the window as soon as i can be bothered doing some further greebles and i have an uncoloured texture ready it will be released as PD or CC-Attrib.

You'd think these uber high tech research facilities would have discovered anti rust coatings before they discovered plasma weaponry or mecha

It needs work, in particular the turret and barrels(look at the lower front right).. but I will wait until you tex. It has a lot of potential. LL, you are doing well keep up the progress.

Rust is a side effect of oxidation, so unless someone figures out a way to nullify basic chemical principles.. all I say is DAHAHAA..

anywho I like snipa's tank even with shiney.. doesnt have to be utterly realistic, and shiney tanks might be visible easily on earth, but what about Crystalon Prime which is made entirely of slightly chrome crystal structures.. hrm what then.. seems like non shiney would be easily visible there..

Fang, your assuming that the metal is exposed to oxygen.

If it has an anti-rust coating then it will not be exposed to oxidizing agents because there's a coating in the way. This technology already exists.

anything. poly means many.

I should probably further clarify...

TA handled models with quads.. 4 sided polygons...

most games hand things with Triangles(tris) and that is commonly the form people see a polygon in.
