Complete Annihilation Problem

Post by Max2605 »

I have a problem with Complete Annihilation i cabt see in the grey box litel gray boxe's or wihte and black points like by a tv without conections.

What must i do that i see Words :?: .

There's a new service pack out Service Pack 3

I am also at a loss to explain why you expect even a half decent word processor to run on a machine with a celeron D and an ATI xpress 1100, I've had those pieces of hardware myself and they're horrific.

Look up SDRAM before calling people out on acronyms you don't understand ;)

It was just a joke :?

Why do I have to explain everything even remotely humorous to someone who takes themself too seriously?

Ok here's how it goes.

Obviously his spec post is a copy pasta. Obviously SDRAM is a form of architecture (in this case "Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory").

Obviously if you pay attention I have never used either Intel or ATI products.

Obviously AF seemed to know what he was talking about with his comment.

Obviously my comment was intended to be a humorous pun spun off of what AF said.

The reason it is hurmorous is because of the fact that I have never used Intel products (except for in servers, but that's an entirely different circumstance) I have no Idea what AF is talking about but I'm agreeing with him by essentially saying "Yeah, damn right, o and while you're at it ...".

Understand now?

http://library.capcollege.bc.ca/search/ ... ctions&1,4,
^^ ITT, Aids.

Now that I'm done with that... THe helpful bit...

Max, to be honest you will have a lot of trouble running spring with that setup. It is outdated and contrary to popular belief, this engine is suited to run much more graphic and CPU intensive games than TA. CA is one of those games. You may have some success with playing Balanced annihilation, as it's not much more demanding (in some ways -- and in perspective) than OTA was.

Sorry that you are having trouble, but spring is a modern engine, and as such, older machines have trouble with it at times (especially when trying to run the more graphic and cpu intensive games - WHich CA definitely is one).

There can everyone be happy now?

All DDR ram is also SDRAM, although the reverse is not true...

And really, if this is legit the guy clearly doesn't speak english... I don't know why you thought misleading him would be productive. The RAM is probably the only part of his machine that isn't painfully substandard.

When I passed my gcse' ~5 years ago my parents bought me a new computer, it was subpar and cheap but it did the job, it was one of those supermarket models they churn out by the dozen, it still ahd a CRT monitor when all the other models had LCD monitors.

It had itnegrated graphics and a celeron D 2.4Ghz processor. I added a Geforce 5200FX into the mix which sped things up a lot but that processor was horrendous and quite old even for then never mind 2008.

As for the ATI xpress 1100, I have one on my laptop, and it gives bad framerates. What's more its ATI and ATI drivers are not very good, and when you factor in its a laptop chipset and not a dedicated card with marketting grunt behind it they're even worse! I get driver crashes watching TV stuff full screen on the BBC iPlayer website with it!

So despite having one of the worst processors imaginable and an ATI gfx chipset *shudders* you seriously expect to play anything that's in anyway 3D and get very far? Your using a word processor not a gaming machine...

i think its more the graphic card,
try to get some of those geforce 5200 or 5800, they cost not much (20~30├óÔÇÜ┬¼)
how is your framerate?

hmm, I dont udnerstand why you told us you had an ATI xpress 1100 if there's also a Radeon 2600 HD PRO in there too
Anzeige
Grafikkarte ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO (512 MB)
Grafikkarte ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO (512 MB)
3D-Beschleuniger ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro (RV630)
Monitor Hansol 920P [19" CRT] (13064993)
Which improves things considerably.

However I would say that the performance from this card is reduced immensely by the celeron D sitting in your motherboard. I'm at a loss to explain how a Celeron D ended up in a machine with a 2600 HD Pro, nm a motherboard with DDR2 support...

I would suggest you buy a cheap core 2 duo. Aside from moving to a modern cpu and the wonders of dual core, you'll see a huge improvement, and you neednt spend much to get it either. Any core 2 duo will be a vast improvement over a celeron, nevermind an ageing celeron D.

Your celeron D was released in 2006, its a low performance cheap cpu released just before the core cpu era. The 2006 celerons are the same as the 2004 celerons with a 65nm process and 512kb L2 cache not 256kb.

Buy a core 2 duo. Upgrading to 2GB of ram is always a good thing.

Best to check the specs on his mobo before telling him to get a CPU that it doesn't support :P
