I checked forum but the last thread abt this one was 2005 I guess. So is there a way to keep shadows and for of war at one time?
And to Enable just shadows and not reflective units with it?

Re: Shadows and fog of war
You can enable/disable shadows and reflectivity via Spring settings. You may have to click the 'advanced' option to access that.
As far as I'm aware, there isn't any way to remove the fog of war that doesn't also involve spectating/godmode (which allows you to control all units, which is probably not what you're after).

Sounds like he means the 'L' fog of war mode.
If so, it's currently hardcoded that this turns off shadows. I'm not exactly sure about the technical motivation for this, ie. whether it's easy to change it.

Re: Shadows and fog of war
Shadows turning off in los mode is a huge annoyance, so's the slow update rate really. Considering most RTS games does good los by default, this is imo a large negative side of Spring's otherwise powerful interface.
That and the lack of music, but I shouldn't whine about MTR issues.
