Whenever the game is set as «Commander dies, game ends», having our comander glow to distinguish and to call attention to it.
The glow could be of the colour of the team.
Often people do not realise the game is set like that or forget in mid-game.
(and i want to play more often like that without people complaining that they didn't knew)

Seems somewhat unnecessary. TA didn't have that issue in 8 years of playing similar rules; if someone forgets, I think it is their forgetfulness to blame, as opposed to a weakness in the game.
ctrl+c instantly centres on your commander, which is more than enough, in my opinion.
Most people who cry "I forgot it was comm ends!" when their comm dies are usually just looking for a good excuse.

That comparisons doesn't work because in oldTA the standard was dead comm, game ends so almost all games were like that and people were always expecting it. Also, when it was changed to dead comm, game continues, people were often caught unguarded against bombing comm runs.Warlord Zsinj wrote:Seems somewhat unnecessary. One thing that happens alot to me, along players forgeting, me as the host forgeting to tell some of the recent aditions to the battleroom that it is dead comm, game ends.Warlord Zsinj wrote:...

I eventually gave up playing as dead comm, game ends because of the complaints...

one issue with the game-ends option is that if your comm get's d-gunned, you lose. In OTA it would make it that the guy who d-gunned you lost.
Personally I think that "draw" would be a good outcome.
It's less of an issue with XTA, since base defenses can take a comm out fairly easily because of their extended ranges - you should be able to defend against comm rushing.
Just a thought!

I've got an idea, perhaps it's a silly one, but I think I can post it here
When you have commander ends, and commander kill themself eachother, why not making lose the one wich are the further from his starting position?
Like that, if you are rushed by an ennemi commander, and everythings explod, you will be the winner.
Another silly idea : I could be cool to have a "commander ends only before 5 min" (or x minute) to avoid being comm rushed.
