btw core isnt gimped chickens got buffed so less numbers needed to be spammed to improved performance

no CA balance changes on the main factions would ever be done on results from chicken :P

yeah, well cocatrice is too powerful. I still say that. I wasted 2 hours this evening and I still feel that way. Call me when you unfuck them.

I've said this before and i'm going to keep saying it. Chickens need to be an official third race. With their own cool icon and unique play style (they already got that!)

Srsly, Chickens bring so much new life to TA/CA. BRING ME MY THIRD RACE!!!

More races! We need chickens, 'undead' robots possessed by souls of the deceased (with scary gothic styling), and a really graceful, eldarish race...

Yeah, that'd be enough for this week.

That isn't your call to make. CA has always been a community effort and as such you have no right to declare such a thing. Just because you may not see the relevance of something doesn't mean others do. Again, it isn't othersides' spring mod, it is a community effort. All of us contribute ideas so that the game is fresh and interesting. Even little things like the gold morty. The day that someone like you has the defining say in CA is the day I stop helping.

its a general consensus smoth to balance a mod and factions over a gimicky minigame that is chicken is stupid.


wrecking the core vs arm balance just so that chicken would play better is stupid and is not going to be done the real factions take importance over chicken and always will. Chickens will just be nerfed buffed accordingly as it wont have any gameplay impact on normal games

its not serious talk that is also a gimmick :P its already a faction

turn on the mod option hidden units and type. .chicken in game

it has fully working cons economy radar units etc... and morphing it will get worked on and stuff but its there for lulz

I don't see why it shouldn't be a race. Nor do I see why there shouldn't be many other races. As long as they can be balanced, which they will be able to given time and playtesting and work.

It might be necessary to cut down on arm and core's repertoire of options if more races are added though, to give different strategic slants to sides. Arm and core and chicken are fairly distinct so far.

go fuck yourself, CA is about having fun, machiosabres load screens are indicative of that. if it was serious it would have crazy rendered screens that take themselves too seriously. Also the drumstick was done in a style to match machios.

load screens are for lulz

The advertising has some lulz

the core game has to appeal to players who like a competitve fun engaging game (pro players). And can be light hearted by mod option for casual players and lulz (chicken)

CA is a serious game that has a light hearted side thats why mod options exist :]

just like WC was released with a serious campaign and skirmish + 3 custom maps for lulz (the first wc3 td , sheep running and a rpgesque style game to show off the map editor)

The problem of the chicken faction is that its economy is nanosheeps style (mosty based on drone chickens that produce small amounts of resources) so it will be hell to balance it right, and thus should be gimmick faction for now.
