It's unitsync that's doing that, not tasclient, afaik.

Even if unitsync is the source, it's tasclient's job to close unitsync on that file. It's obviously not just unitsync or all mods would be locked.

Springie is not locking files so fatally either, must be something weird..

do you uninit unitsync when you finished loading the mod (with units and lua options) ? because when you get the lua options you don't specify the mod, it already knows the current mod for exemple
