One question: Why is it a 7z file?

spring supports 7zip, so you can stick the .7z file right in your maps folder.

I'm pretty sure you must rename it in .sdz.

Yeah, I would have mean .sd7 of course, I'm tired.

Its in .7z because Its a map plus a skybox >24mb< that needed compression for upload,, you need to extract the .sd7 and the skybox from this archive.. :wink:

The compression is the whole point WHY the map should be packed as a sd7.
You can put _everything_ in that file (skyboxes, ------- sinks, ect...)

I have had problems in the past when I put the skybox in the .sd7, like it not working at all,, I did it this way because I was worried people would have the same trouble,, I guess they don`t,, and now I know,, so there you go :x :evil: :evil:

look at the release notes.
There was a bug with large files in sd7 archives, but it was fixed 2 versions ago.

And it was specific to maps.
At the time the skybox issue was being treated as a separate problem, and I was not aware that it was in fact the problem spring had with large sd7 archives that was causing it, in any case its not hard to extract the files to where they need to be.
