So I was just sitting here wondering what people's forum reading practices are here.
I start in the morning when I get to work on the taspring.clan-sy.com homepage and read the news, if it is new news I will read the forum comments right away for that. If not, even if new people have posted, I will just go strait to the Mods section because that's where the coolest stuff (in my opinion) shows up. I will usually skip new map posts until I get bored... but otherwise I will then read every new post in everything but art and off topic while catching up on any old topics that have new posts I want to see.
Finally I systematically go through all the forums and make sure I click on all the messages to make sure no one has said anything interesting that I have missed.
All this time I will post replies to messages or create new messages when I deem fit.

check in in the morning if there's a topic I've got an interest in. If I don't have due-dates looming over me, I check the forums between classes @ college, and I usually check in again after I come home, and then at night. I don't know why, but I start from Off Topic discussion and work my way up, and more often than not I skip "Development," "Art," and "Help and Bugs." I almost never hit "AI" or "News." So I only check Dev, Art, H&B about once a day, and all the others I hit regularly. I don't have much of a life, do I?

First, it looks like you have issues of beeing too much hooked up on the forum.SinbadEV wrote:...

Secondly,
For a long time this feature went unnoticed to me and, as such, you also may not be aware of it.
The PHPbb server keeps track of what you have read and what you haven't. Whenever there is a new post (just new post or an entirely new thread), on the left of the post's tittle there is an arrow with a yellow little page.
So, to make sure you read everything, you just need to follow the yellow (new stuff only).
And they were all yellow.
