Re: S:44 Dump
Erom: I don't think they're supposed to be hangars, rather they're equipment storage and pilot barracks. It looks more like a field landing strip, so no hangars. You'd only find those in permanent airbases.
Re: S:44 Dump
It might be a good idea to use oldschool OTA flares on the planes (show/hide yellow model pieces) so they don't stay behind the plane. Or have the flares last a very short time, 1 frame, and spam them (it's machine guns afterall).

Re: S:44 Dump
You could use the same trick with your propellers actually. In additive blend mode they'll look much more convincing than solid model pieces.
Re: S:44 Dump
we have a widget for fancy props already, just turned off in those screens for some reason.
Re: S:44 Dump
I know how it works
I meant you (Zpock!) could attach a few more quads in additive blend mode to the firepoints, basically your own muzzle flame particles, so they move with the model. I remember you were using the Lua vars for the state already so it's no biggie, just a bit of copy pasta... unless it was broken. Right, they were broken for some reason.

Re: S:44 Dump
Very nice work. Can you get planes taking of and landing at the same time?
Re: S:44 Dump
Eesh, epic bump.
For those who think we haven't been doing much...
You're wrong.

Re: S:44 Dump
Could be bigger though

Re: S:44 Dump
Its in scale with all the other units, so this particular thing should not be any bigger. There were bigger ships that that (it's just a destroyer...), but we don't plan to include them (Pr.7 is too big for many maps as it is).
Re: S:44 Dump
But it still rotates around its center right? Or is that fixed already?
Re: S:44 Dump
Unfortunatly yes. And there are some rendering issues when you get close up due to it's size.jcnossen wrote:But it still rotates around its center right? Or is that fixed already?
