because if you look at any religion logically it becomes a total joke. just look at the genesis creation story- youd almost think man was made on day six then infact made on day three

Rational tough :) Things dont come out of nowhere. Except if the law "something only exists if it was created" is wrong, in that case the repercussions would be too much for my head, so I still consider it right :)

So what created God?

If you say "he was always here", the argument for God vanishes.

Otherwise you're fucked.

A bigger god? :) Could be, cause I think that there is no beggining, like, everthing was created by something else...

In a infinite universe, everthing exists and thus, god exists 8)
False premise. |N|=infinite where N is the set of natural numbers yet not all possible numbers are within N.

This is false as proven by virtual particles.

N is a human convention, it doesnt makes the excluded numbers not exist.

And who can say if virtual particles arent just coming in and out of another dimension? :) And where the rule of that things came out of nowhere came from?

Yes, not everything is possible in the universe... like for N, you have to respect certain rules : rules of physics for the universe, only integers for N.

The Bible should be enough truth for people to realize that god is real.

If i were God, had put a hell lot of work in those braincell, and then see my work, my precious art unused, rejected by some lunatic, fanatic - well i would ... have hell coming down upon there heads.

Strange thing is- once it benefits there Cause, they won´t reject anything. Have new Medicine, buld by DNA-crafted bacteria - how dare you - but once i cures believers from deadly diseases... must be the Holy Ghosts Intention from the very Beginning on...

I wish they would all walk that tall, like the Amish or othere left behinds in Stoneage do - then once (in a while) a Plague comes there way (send by God ofcurse). And his holyness the Spaghettimonster will all save them (at least there are no notes in the bible/koran from notsurvivors in god-critical-circumstances that he doesen´t interfere - i mean it is god, not the UN ;) )...

Evil Killingspree...

Personally I'm more of an agnostic. I don't care because you shouldn't have to. If you require fear of the consequences or desire for the rewards, then you are not being a good person for the right reason.
Due to this, I believe that following religious formalities is a waste of time. Just be a good person, and you will be a benefit to society instead of a detriment.

And... if one of these religions happens to be true, would an all powerful being be so vain as to put someone in some sort of hell for not praising them all the time?

The whole idea of something creating the uni/multiverse is silly. If god created universe, who created god - "he has always existed". Yeah, right... Why can't the universe have "always" existed?

In any case, beginning and end, creation and destruction are tied to time. Time is just a dimension like space. There is no beginning nor end for anything that exists outside time. There has to be some timeless existance of logic, or "god" or whatever you call something that "creates" universe. ~~

Sorry, I'm late, but this topic is soooo wrong:
- It's spelt "What's your religion?", not "whats".
- Atheism is not a religion, it's the lack of any religion.
- Agnostic is not "god exists but religions are wrong", but "not sure whether god exist or not". And it's not a religion either.
- Didn't we have three threads like that* already?
* devouts vs atheists flamewa..err debate!

Anyway, can someone plot me a christianness / spring modding skills curb, with all the samples we have collected in this forum?
