The Mapconv thing won't give me -geovents... my green spots are 255 green, it's 24 bit color, what else do I need to do?

it was fine until I flipped the map vertically... in some other program on my system... curses!!!

aS IT TURNS OUT THERE IS A MAXIMUM HEIGHT FOR GEOVENTS... who knew>?

Sinbad, can you try something? remove all the maps from your maps folder "except the one your testing" to a temp directory outside of the "taspring" folder and try the map again.
That height limit for geos is rubbish me thinks, I have geos on a map at a height of +407, just try getting rid of all the maps in your maps folder except the one being tested and see if you get geos. If that doesn`t work remove the path files from the paths folder.

Has anyone else noticed that the placement of geos is not very accurate in regards to where the pixel resideson the metalmap.

Yes, they seem to be rendered a few pixels away from the intended position.

actually the geos arn't being added by the mapconv so it's not a maps/paths/spring issue... mapconv was leaving them out... it also might be because I was trying to put them on top of spikes and they may need flat bits...

also, they would have been around 570 height, worked fine when I indented the tops of the volcanoy things they were on top of...
