If you have any comments about the balance of 0.55, or lack thereof, I'm all ears. I've made some minor changes to Overmind since that release, but nothing that would prevent me from taking anybody's suggestions into consideration.

finding it hard to get games atm

so only played a few and mostly pre 0.55

nuthing i can say for sure just yet would need to play some more

the only thing that ive seen is start seeming slowish but its not rilly a major problem (stalling on factory) playing standard TA settings tho maybe pure has different standards ?

id really like to play more hopefully wen u release the second side more people will play and balance can be worked on and you could have a mod that looks awesome and plays awesome :D

really looking forward to nesxt release

mostly pre 0.55
...means that a number of important changes to combat weren't made yet.

Yeah, you can't just use your standard start from BA. I made it play a lot like BA, economy-wise (Resistance is a lot different), but that doesn't mean that the ratios of things are the same, and you just have to practice to get a smooth start on a map, just like any other RTS.

It's a minor but important difference between P.U.R.E. and the OTA mods. You want at least 3 Miners and one Fusion before beginning a LandFactory, on most maps, or you will stall.

I would like to announce that I have written simple LUA code for using mobile factories that can transform between mobile and immobile modes through the user interface. This does not use the Morph Gadget code in any way.

Nah, it's really pretty huge. At 10X10, it's the largest vehicle I've seen in Spring that operates OK and doesn't fly. Took quite a lot of tweaking to get it to behave all right.

I should also mention that I've playtested with it, and it's an incredible experience. Being able to move your factories dynamically completely changes the game's focus, and the fact that it's not just a wussy, undefended base makes it even more interesting- when you take it mobile, it can tank for a small horde, then transform at the end of a rush to allow you to start building replacements. Fun stuff!

Um, units left... well, basically, if I can get around to building the new MegaConstructor, the Mineral Extractor and mini-extractor, two defense turrets, a mini-fusion and a Radar Installation, I'm done "enough" to release. Getting really close now, I'm hoping to get the MegaConstructor done on Sunday, the buildings done over the next two weeks. I dunno how long final polish will take, but I'm going as fast as I can.

That barrels are pretty damned big and long for a machinegun... looks more like anti-aircraft cannon mount...

THIS is a machinegun turret...

And here's an anti-aircraft cannon mount:

Your turret looks much more like the latter.

Argh said it was meant for AA purposes as well:

I intentionally made it that way. Thanks for noticing :P

Yup, that's what I was looking for. Whenever you get the chance, I'll take the model, I'm working on a mini-fusion now...

Meh, personally I think it looks like Da Bomb for CS:2048 or something. "Today's terrorists are so lazy, even their bombs have easy-to-use, ergonomic handles".

I like the Shoes of Doom concept, though ;)
