Scratch, you'r theory sounds much like the outdated aether thesis. The thing that separates planet earth from the next star is called 'space-time' afaik. That is, dimensions. Planet earth is in some coordinates and the next star in some other coordinates. No need for mysterious dark energies to explain distance.Scratch wrote:If there's nothing there, then what separates planet earth from the next star? Not air.
Quantum entanglement, which implies to non-locality of the universe. Though information still seems to be local, meaning quantum entanglement can't be used to transfer information faster than light. When one of the entangled atoms changes state, the other does too, instantly, but the act of observing disturbs the state fucking things up. At least as far as I know, based on a mandatory physics course and a few science magazine articles.Scratch wrote:how is it possible that an atom in another part of the universe knows what an atom on the earth is doing at the exact same time?
