I hope I haven't contributed to your feelings of distaste, Mr.D, I think you've done an excellent job and wish I could texture as well as you, even though I do tend to have an opinion about bloody everything.

The models are great, they look great, and you should be proud of them even if you decide to stop making them. There isn't much else I can say here, I've been turned off of projects by communities myself.

What a bunch of stupid stupidheads! If Mr. D stops making models the world will end, so stop bickering. Go Mr. D go! Your work is awesome, and as an old OTA player I have nothing but compliments to your style and enhancing of the Cavedog originals.

Mr D, you take a risk by posting your material here. Do not expect everyone to have only positive feedback on your work. Realize that most people making suggestions and comments have significantly less talent than you.

You can pretty much do whatever you'd like with the model and they'll still be included in mods because they look so damn good. Please keep up the good work!

Mr. D, you are not even modelling most of your units based on original ta models
Did I say the models are bad? No. Did I say you should stop modelling? No. I am just stating the facts here. Your models are indeed not based on OTA models. The Goliath, Garpike, Raider, Weasel models of AA variants were never part of OTA. They were modelled by Sinclair from TA Arsenal Network as part of their "evolva" pack (except for "Core Prime"'s Garpike, which has no basis in OTA). Am I correct to assume that you did not know that they were never part of OTA? Yea, after you labelled the new and improved evolva/*a models as "OTA" in your comparison charts and after that discussion on how the Garpike is really a third-party unit. Can I not attempt to correct these mistakes? Can I not inform people with this useless and arcane knowledge? Why are you pissed off? Throwing a tantrum for no good reason... Should I lie and say wrong things like: AA is made by cavedog, Caydr/BSR did nothing; Evolva is just an expansion of TA: Sinclair deserves no credit for his 50 some models lololol. Or maybe I should just STFU and let your ignorance (pardon the connotation) bug me everytime I browse this forum to look your beautiful models. Maybe, after I have seen how sensitive your are.

PS: OMFG! u r so tallanted ur modells are GR8 pLZ have Sex wid me LOL.

Wow, who the fuck cares, his models and textures are fucking fantastic, and are a vast improvement over the shit that was Cavedog models. And as far as I can tell, they all look damned well like their OTA units.

Crikey. Well I continue to stand in admiration of Mr D's units, I think they're pretty damn good.

As an excellent, active modeller you do carry the hopes of the community for progress and mark the road to (dare I say it) perfection - this is inevitably going to lead to the sharing of opinions, and some might not be wholly sycophantic.

However, I wouldn't worry too much about that. Take in the constructive criticism - which I have already seen can feed back well into your models as in the case of the construction vehicle nanopod - rise above the random flaming and never lose faith in the quality of your own ideas and your talent.

It would be a great shame if a negative, abusive minority of people on here were allowed to ruin the hopes of all the rest.

Jesus, just cause Mr.D didn't know that the models in BA he's working from have a few .3do texture squares slightly tweaked by some french guy way in the past, and the natural fact it's more convenient to just look in spring folders instead of digging up your OTA cd in some forgotten pit of the basement just to check that, is no reason to flame him.

Did I flame him? Did I swear, curse, or use </sarcasm> in my original post? Did I write anything other than what is a matter of fact?

I believe they are remodelled from the ground up, reimported, then retextured, some are even redesigned based on OTA glamour shots and TA CG intro

My original post was not offensive at all, heck I even took precautions to sound neutral, but offense was taken because the reader wanted to take offense.

Regardless of what you "Intended", you came off as a complete dick for which you should apologize instead of defending your position.

This is what i hate about TAU and the OTA crowd, and even people here. They nitpick, regardless of whether there is a reason. You nitpick to the point that it's more simple to just stay off the radar and do your own thing.

To be fair to TRO, Mr.D isnt recreating the OTA models. Because the OTA models have mostly crappy designs. His are much better.

The less they are based on OTA the better, i think.
