Re: Do want!
This made me really excited but now I'm sad - no Predator...
Still no sequel for the fantastic AvP 2...

Re: Do want!
If they dont make this moddable they're going to get lynched
Re: Do want!
Oh yay no WRYYYYYYYRGHdators... never liked them, never will.
Re: Do want!
If I had to take a game with REALLY good aliens and no predators, or a game with REALLY good Predators and no aliens, I'd take the Aliens one.
But if I could have a game with really good both...then I'd be happy.
Also, the motion tracker is held like it is in the movie! Sweet!

Wow notice the fine attention to detail on the guns? They even have an ammo readout on your teammates' weapons! I hope they don't mess this game up, Alien is probably my favorite sci-fi/horror movie.
Re: Do want!
FTFY. Monolith made a very nice single-player game in AvsP2, but the first AVP was far better in multi-player.[Krogoth86] wrote:This made me really excited but now I'm sad - no Predator...![]()

But yes, a new AvsP game would wrawk.
Re: Do want!
AvP1 multiplayer was kinda badly unbalanced. Pred was basically untouchable between people of similar skill. But damn if it wasn't one of the most atmospherically intense games I've ever played. It was legitimately scary playing as a marine against a good alien, since you'd be kinda wandering along and then suddenly they'd drop from the ceiling or spring from the corner and bite your face off.
even better: it can be shrunk down to only 70mb or so, so "loaning" it to your friends is pretty easy. if only it were easier to mod so that the MP game could be balanced a bit. although I think the source code was released, so I guess in theory one could try to balance the game using the original code.

Re: Do want!
How does AvP compare to Hidden: Source? Besides missing the predator faction.... er... what I mean is, is the alien vs marines bit pretty similar?
