It isn't. Seeing as I can't connect to the site, I can't get to the reference pictures...

Crab droid - all I did for the other pics was a simple google image search of "crab droid" and IIRC they were all on the first few pages. It doesn't have a lot of great shots.

The other one isn't important for a little while, and Zsinj would have to find the URL for it again unless I dug through the sql backup of the site (not fun).

For the Docks, which will build boats. This is half of a fairly small wall, the other half is mirrored. I made the uv map pretty badly, keeping an equal size of 100 percent for everything when I should have shrunk things that wouldn't be seen often.

Edit: It would probably make more sense to post a pic of the whole model and the whole UV map, but uh, no thanks >_>

whoaaaa . Ive only just started using wings.. but wow. I can see lots of waseted polies, as you have pointed out, but if you simplified them they would be great to use in game.

I like the tank with the ginormous cannon. It looks kinda cute, in a way.

Put it in a viagra ad!

Lots of wasted polies but for your first models not that bad. Also you should avoid the smooth function for now until you know how it exactly works. The wings on that robot for example look smoth'd.

Holy christ! How does that thing stay up? It looks like it should tip forwards... must make driving through woods or cities interesting...

Not really. The barrel's not very thick, and compared to the armor, it's not very heavy. It must be an absolute nightmare to drive it through a city, though!

Well, the (probably) only time it was in a city was on the Red Square parade where it was shown. Some Western observers though it was a fake afterwards - it really looked very odd. It's quite real however.
The vehicle is based on modified T-10 heavy tank shassis, so the base is heavy enough to balance the barrel. But still, it probably had severe speed restrictions anyway. It wasn't supposed to go anywhere near cities - it was to fire nuclear rounds at ranges up to 40km. Rapid development of missiles rendered it obsolete very fast, so now it's in a museum in St.Petersburg (Russia), where that pic (shown in Wikipedia) was taken.

Better you learn to save regularly now rather then later.

Some nice ideas coming out here. Polygon wise, they're all very inefficient, but everyone has already commented on that, and I'm sure you're already well aware.

Artistically, what I think you need to think about a little more is how objects are joined together, how they would need to be created in order to allow proper movement, and how that joint would look (cog? latched joint? Ball joint? etc etc)

Yeah i see what you mean i usually just bridge things together although alot of the time i get the message these faces do not have the same number of verticles.
