I beg to differ! :P

Anyway my personal favorite was the Loki for the Clan and Templar for the IS.

Let me see here, I should be able to find something.

Ah, yes, the Armadillo, an alright example, I forgot what happened with the untextured poly, there in the middle-ish. >_>

Also, I was doing the treads wrong, it would've been better if I had used one strip and just moved the UVs...

Battletech: Spring.

Not spiky enough :P

MightySheep & Spiked: Thanks.

yosemite: in total, only about 10 hours tops (took me months in gross, between working on other mods, uni studies and other RL pursuits) which is actually really slow, i've sped up my texturing time very much since then. I used photoshop, but free paint programs like Gimp are equally capable, albeit requiring more manual work.

When I do my modeling/texturing I usually just sit and think for hours what I'm gonna do... not working from references but making stuff up as I go takes ages.

'atlas' doesn't seem like a very good name for that big robot.

atlas carries the weight of the world...

it fits for both.

atlas is not always depicted as larger then the planet.
