Can you maybe seperate the entire file hosting and spring file hosting related part of the website from all the blog like posts?
Its just too messy.
What do I mean?Well,when you entred UF,for example,you could instantly see the entire website is dedicated to hosting files and presenting it all in the most effeicent way for people to be able to download their file as fast as possible and scram.
So,I,a person who wants to download a spring map/mod,want to enter the website and immediatly see a list of files in some organized way with the maps page probably being the default one since maps are downloaded the most.
I also want to see pictures presented near every map and preferably near any file that can be expalined by one.
I hope you dont get offended or anything and im sure all you want is to present your files in the most comfterble way thus i am trying to help you from a users perspective.
If that is what is planned and is not yet executed cause its a WIP than forget all i wrote but If you were thinking it is better as it is now than How Uf was,from a users point of view than this post will be usefull to you.

Can it hash files so that the spring lobby client can verify their identity and directly download from a valid host?

However, I have made it clear to sefidel that I want the download info page not a direct hot link shown, as it allows the user to see what they're downloading before they have it or for authors to put great big warning signs and notices. Actual hotlinking like the tasclient + File unvierse of old is still something I am thinking about.
I also need some script to hash files so they match unitsyncs hashes correctly. Trademark may be able to help with this as well as other people but Trademark would likely need persuading if he's to contribute to any file site that wasnt of his own making.

Anyone who needs a file can use the search button or one of the various tools that I will release in the coming weeks.
The actual site thus is more geared towards browsing for files you might want rather than files you might need. However I will keep that in mind and perhaps make changes here and there to make finding files much easier.
