invincibility is expensive and heavy though, considering emp wave usually works just as well without hurting your own ship in the process.
And yes, I'm talking about fights were two ships are facing eachother and are close enough to EMP eachother, I've seen that happen tons of times.

Re: ShadowArmada
My first strategy was a single defensive ralkonoth, with 13 microshields and loaded up on shield waves and stuff. The idea was to simply be able and survive any volley that the opponent could throw at it, while being easy to manage. This worked out pretty well and I could beat players with it.
Then I started working on a strategy with ultra light interceptors, something like one doublelauncher, core and two microshields with all the rest being nitroengines. The idea was to use a stun and then land a nuke. Using superior maneuverability, speed or a balance thereof, using different engine placement, sides or front/back, to pull this off and as a means of avoiding damage. I tried this strategy out alot vs ai:s but never got quite happy with it. The hard part is to get a stun at the right time so that the enemy sits still and can be nuked. It's also not a very reliable means of defense in my experience, altough I think the ai cheats a bit and knows what your doing when he's firing his rockets. Managing the 2 shields and defensive options in mass games against the ai is also done in a not so enthusiastic way by me.

Re: ShadowArmada
The ralkanoth is just a stupid imbalanced shitty ship that I think I've begged walt to remove tons of times.
I can't recall ever having problems actually killing them though.

Re: ShadowArmada
The ralkanoth is worth 4 ships, but it seens to be considered like 2... 2x dimensions doesnt means 2x power :)
Re: ShadowArmada
You can put 8 components instead of 4 on each of his sides so it's useful for stacking shields. Also has 20 hp steel shell.
Alot of stuns and then nukes is probably the best way to kill him.
