Post by PicassoCT »

Good Friend was Fan of Darkwing Duck, me was more Gargoyles Fan...
So what was your favourite Toonseries?

Sponge bob isn't in the same genera as darkwing or gargoyles. At least compare them with action shows like Martin Mystery or Teen Titans.

IMO the shows haven't gotten any worse, they've just changed. DWD and Gargoyles were both average shows. The only notable change is a huge adoption of the anime art style. Most of the best shows right now use it.

Guess you´re right, Swift... just thinked twice about it. The Joketoons back there - Bonkers & such didn´t differ that much from Spongeboob...

My Mistake ;)

Well it's difficult to point out a single show because there were numerous good things like M.A.S.K. , Saber Riders, Transformers, Ghostbusters (both Filmation and "The real") and so on. I think the show I liked the most was Captain N because it had all those video game characters in it...

As a 20-something man, I find it horribly depressing that Gargoyles is now "old toons". Way to make me feel positively ancient.

Yeah, that's not old. Toons from the 80s are.

He was such a furry, always in a hurry, from horse to horse with no remorse!

Robotech, Animaniacs, Batman, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers (not Power Rangers), Tiny Toon Adventures, The Smurfs (yes, at one point, they didn't suck), etc.

Here, nostalgia-seekers... a feast...

Ehhhh.... only thing I can remember is Loonie (Looney? Are these even words?) Tunes (Tunes? As in music? What the hell?) that were taped off TV, probably before I was of an age to watch them. Those were awesome. Wile E. Coyote is my role model in life.

Oh, also Batman was pretty cool, I think that's got to be the most authentic badass Batman besides "Begins". Always bothered me though, in the intro he appears to be wearing body armor, yet in the actual shows if there's a stiff wind it gets torn to shreds.
