List of lobby servers?
Hi,
Where can I find a list of lobby servers to connect to? I've installed SpringLobby (in Linux), I try to register an account but it fails and the error message I get back is blank. My guess is because I'm not giving it a valid lobby server hostname... and I can't find a list anywhere.

There's only one right now:
taspringmaster.clan-sy.com
And a test/backup server:
buildbot.no-ip.org

Where is this being run? If it is in Europe, have there been any comments on the lag times from Canadians or Americans? If so, is there any desire to run more servers so that games don't experience large lag times?Lupus wrote: There's only one right now:

It's a damn lobby, how fast does it need to be? *_*
Re: List of lobby servers?
lol good point.. my mistake. I keep thinking it acts as a dedicated (central) server for all the games as well... I'm used to a different architecture. :)

taspringmaster.clan-sy.com
You can't connect to that one? Feel free to connect to other servers but it's a bit pointless as the vast majority of the userbase uses clan-sy exclusively. If you can't find anyone to play with the spring experience isn't all that impressive.

Re: List of lobby servers?
No, I can't connect.
Here's the situation. I'm working in Linux. I downloaded the source of Spring 0.76b1, compiled and installed. Downloaded the source of SpringLobby 0.0.1.10112, compiled and installed. I start SpringLobby and pointed all the settings to the right files. In the server field I see "TAS Server" (I expected to see a valid hostname). When I try to register an account using this server, I put in my info, click OK and about a minute later it comes back with a message dialog "Registration failed, the reason was:". So I thought it was because there wasn't a valid hostname in the server field, which is why I asked for some hostnames. When I try to use a hostname directly, SpringLobby crashed and said "no entry for server in settings".
Of course, as I'm writing this I tried connecting to the hostname directly and it does not let me in, but it did add a port 8200 to the hostname and now it seems like it's "seeing" the server using the taspringmaster.clan-sy.com:8200, but I'm still getting the same registration error when I try to make an account. I've tried several usernames..
I'll try contacting the SpringLobby guys too.

Re: List of lobby servers?
Have you tried any other lobbies such as aflobby ro tasclient in wine? Or even unitylobby?!
Re: List of lobby servers?
Nope, and I'd like to avoid having to emulate Windows-intended software. :)
I just expected it to work. I will try it again soon(ish?).. I sort of expected someone else to be have been in my situation and for there to be a quick answer to this.

Re: List of lobby servers?
sorry, we (the springlobby team) accidentally introduced a regression bug on the registration function of the lobby itself, if you'll compile the sources of the latest tarball it will work
Re: List of lobby servers?
Excellent! I compiled 0.0.1 build 10127 and it works. You guys are awesome. Now if you wanted to be even more awesome you would convince the Spring dev team to use trac as well.

Re: List of lobby servers?
I was convinced several years ago, even before I knew of spring
