Graphics (dynamic water) bug

This happens when I turn on dynamic water

Windows XP SP2 (freshly installed. was working on the previous installation)
Nvidia 8800gt. Freshly installed forceware drivers. Maybe thats why it's broken?
For some reason i thought downloading directx9.0c would help. of course it didn't.
Lastly, i reinstalled spring_0.76b1.exe, downloading all the mods and maps and keeping the ones i already have. This screenshot is using my old CA v. 1234

Heres my infolog.txt (it's from the second screenshot. all i did was pan around a bit to exacerbate the effect, then exit)

I believe it's an 8000 series issue, I have the same.

This bug contributes to me having no reason to play spring. Disable Real water, and it will work perfectly. This should be in Feature Requests though, it should get fixed immediately.

It's a nvidia GF8 windows driver issue, not a spring issue. Dynamic water works with the geforce 8 series under linux.

Not for me. What distro and driver version are you using (and what card?).

It's not me it works for, it's someone else who I cannot recall at the moment.

That person does not exist, unless they show themselves here. :P

Yea, I can't even get Spring up above medium settings on my dell XPS 400 with an 8600GT under Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon, water is lowest possible setting. My game runs about 25fps on lowest settings, I don't attempt to use water on that setup. :P

Either your friend made his own drivers, or mine are too old.

i don't use it though because its too slow for me.
