Lua request

Post by Scratch »

I was wondering if there was a way to queue unit orders to units that are still in factory queue, so that say when you decide to do a jeffy rush or something you can issue those move orders and in the meantime order a couple of kbots to build base.

Since there is already a listing of queued units on the right side of the screen, in version 5.91 I think, I thought it was odd that you can't click on those icons to reduce/add quantities inside compound queues, besides this.

But mainly being able to click on one of the units on the queued list right side, then queue them up with build/attack orders, so that when they actually come out of their factory they have something to do, and you don't have to babysit 100% of the time idle units.

I've thought that this would be very useful in the past and still believe so.

I have next to nothing to do the entire month of February, so I'm going to take another shot at learning Lua and the Lua-Spring interface. This would be one of the first things I'd try to make.

edit. I'd want it fully expandable and applicable to any depth of queued units - so, for example, you could add a con bot to a factory queue, queue up an order for the bot to build another factory, queue up that factory to build scouts, and queue move orders for those scouts.
