Original Transformers movie, good?

They killed off 90% of the original transformers in the first 5 minutes (where none of them managed to die at all in the first two season), then introduced awful characters like Hotrod and Galvatron. I guess they needed to sell newer model toys..

Also note, no female transformers...

There were female Transformers, like one or two. The show became pretty shabby after the second season when some of the voiceover staff got fired.
