"Help Develop Spring" Trailer...

Post by Pendrokar »

What I would like to create is a video that would influence people to fulfill their suggestions and ideas either by themselves or by another person. This would include Engine code writing/Lua Scripting/Map making/Mission making/Mod Making=>Modeling/Texturing/Making Sounds/Music... (Showing some fragments of each type such as: Writing script then showing how it works in Spring/Modeling a buggy then showing it drive ingame)
Problem Is I can't do it all alone, because I would need someone to make a speed-modeling/texturing(like speed-painting) video, someone like smoth :-) (Actually only modeling/texturing would be the only thing I need!) !

The way I texture takes MANY MANY hours of hand shading. Spiked or argh can do a fast texturing tutorial.

It's not a tutorial, it's a "speed modeling" segment. Like the speed painting segments it's not to help people learn, it's to produce something showy. Basically just record video of you making something from scratch, however many hours it takes, and then it will be sped up 10 or so times so it looks like the work gets done really really fast, then presumably since this video is supposed to be a showcase/trailer, the less interesting parts will be clipped and the more interesting parts will be included in the video.

Can I have my mind back!!! Cause you said just the way I wanted! Though no big model is needed just some weasel/jeffy type!
Note: the vid will be 2 minutes and 17 seconds long(Found the song for it)!

The trick to time lapse is to only take a screen shot every second or two and then you run it at 60 fps... so it doesn't take 6 hours of memory, it takes like 10... I'm at work so I can't search for you but I know there are programs that can do this.

This post was less witty than I initially thought, so I edited it.
