Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
Some auto-reload textures feature would've been nice indeed...
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
cs3 extended...
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
What I meant was auto-reload inside of wings.
Besides, PS10 left some nasty service from apple which forced to do a full windows install after removing it manually.

Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
that will happen if you opt for the "use external" option.
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
I don't think wings automatically reloads textures which were changed. I use external images.

Ultimate Unwrap 3D. I like it quite a bit.Guessmyname wrote:Which program would this be?SpikedHelmet wrote:This is why i like a dedicated uvmapping and texturing program. As I'm editing the texture, I get to see the result in real-time on my model, as simple as switching from one window to the other.
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
I use UVMapper Pro, which lets you do a Copy-->Merge Layers in Photoshop and see updates on the skin. Easy, and I can update as much or as infrequently as I want. Cheap, too.
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
You can just make external and save over that file to view the changes in wings.
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
Well no, that doesn't work unless I reload it in wings, as in Reload from the context menu which can become bothersome when you do it three or four times a minute to get something right.

Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
Then I'd suggest a prog like Ultimate Unwrap. :)
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
I'm sure it could be done easier in those programs, as in automatically updating, but I don't understand why it's so bad, you just right click on the texture in the outliner and click refresh?
Re: Texture Space, Theory and Practice.
Yeah, well, I happen to mislick on Make Internal, which is right above Reload, a lot.
