how about a weekly tournament , 1vs1 2svs2 and 4vs4. only winners meet and only small maps so fast play, max 2 hours for whole turnament or so. is that a good idea?

i can arrange a tournament next friday pherhaps. im gonna check my sschedule and promote it in lobby etc, and maybe vote which maps and so on. can i create a channel that ppl can join?

yes you can, create a channel by /join #NEWCHANNEL (where NEWCHANNEL is the name of the channel you want to create) I don't know how to register it to stay open when you leave but a mod should be able to let you know if you ask in the main channel.
