Im in the process of building a new comp while still using some stuff from my old computer. Because of this I have had a bunch of left over parts, including an old geforce 6200.
I decided to put that card into another computer of mine which had no video card so I could play spring on it. I get the old GL_ARB_texture_env_combine error that normally happens with integrated graphics.
The 6200 can run spring fine, which I know for fact (even at 1680x1050), as it had been the main card I used. I have all of the newest drivers, and have triple checked to make sure the GL_ARB_texture_env_combine extension existed.
The old drivers have been deleted, GL_ARB_texture_env_combine is there, but spring cant seem to find it.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Botched driver install?
Remove all the nvidia drivers, and install from fresh. Remember never to update drivers by simply installing newer ones over the old ones. Make sure to use the driver wiper tools at guru3d.com

I cleared all of the drivers using the guru3d tool and installed the most recent one again. Still no luck

I am having the same problem it says it is a driver but i cant find it anywhere, any ideas?

Does the extension show up in the ext.txt file in the Spring directory?

that card aint much but i dont have all the money in the world like other people and get 8800 that is just ridiculous

Don't get ATI cards. They are significantly worse with spring than nVIDIA. Right now, a 7 series nVIDIA card would be best for spring.

That doesn't change the fact that it doesn't make sense to buy an ATI card to play spring. A six series nVIDIA card would work too.

well i dont have any money to get a nividad im geting that card from my cousin.
