If you get horizontal scroll working and are using an application that does not do anything with the horizontal scroll it can cause the vertical scrolling to behave very weirdly, as in making it easy to zoom out but very hard to zoom in in spring.

Well it does not appear that I will get the horizontal scrolling working any time soon anyway. I am trying to see if I can get a boot camp driver on a pc, or hack up some sort of thing to do it myself (probably would never work). Still, that little ball is much more fun than some lame wheel. I have a 4th button too, when you squeeze the sides, btw. THe laser mouse is sooo precise, and works on anything, wood, lcd screen, carpet, mashed potatoes, water, etc.

my friend got a new iMac and hated the might mouse. it really sucks for fps' because the scroll well doesn't "click" when u scroll it, and also the scroll ball is really loose, so it hard to select a weapon reliably, and you have to watch what its selecting, because u cant feel/hear the click as it turns...

You shouldn't be using the scroll wheel for weapon selection in FPS games anyways. Manually press the 1-9 keys, more accurate, faster, and frees the scroll up for better functions like bhop jumping and rapidfire pistoling.

:(

The scroll wheel does click, its just soft. Its also not loose, just sensitive. Also, it wont scroll without any pressure on it, which is a nice feature. The mouse is so light too.

Logitech makes some of the best mice.

Mac mice are for mac fan boys that wish they could use an apple computer

I find the Mighty Mouse to be extremely useful. It works well, the buttons, all function with good sensitivity, and the scroll ball is great for those people who are good at small accurate movements. It is especially nice for things like spreadsheets and audio and video editing where being able to scroll in any direction saves a lot of time. And the batteries last for months (if you use it constantly) or more (if you use it less). Of course I am also a Mac user so everything is all nice and set up for it for me (except when I am using Linux).

There, a real mouse. Logitech's closest thing to MS mice.

Yep, G5 FTW. Mine has served for years now with heavy use and is as good as new.

I've got one a Mighty Mouse too, but mine's broken. Admittedly, I am using it on a Mac, but the wheel itself refuses to scroll up anymore, and rarely works sideways. So, I can pretty much only scroll down with it. :(

I personally never get along well with cords.

Not necessarily very ergonomic, but sleek, sweet cordless range, etc.
And of course tilt wheel like all the rest.

theHive, your mouse probably just needs a slight cleaning of the scroll ball.

What can I do to prevent idiotic posts like this? Well, besides the genderMismatchException, its surprisingly true. Logitech does make some of the best mice (from what i have seen, Microsoft also makes mice that FAR outdo their capabilities of making a decent operating system). I do want a mac. However, I would need to put a better gfx card in it and I would have to install ubuntu on it. Ubuntu support for macs is not so great atm so I would probably not get a mac any time soon.

Bana, ur mouse looks cool. How is its performance/sensitivity? Comfort? Weight? Does it work on linux or mac? Is it bt? Is it laser? I am not bothering to look at the specs because I found confusing info on the front page, and the webdesign is really lacking at that site.

The mighty mouse is perfect for ME. Maybe not u, but I like it. As u can see it is my avatar. Also, who needs ctrl and shift on a mouse. I am a keyboard user. One hand always on the keyboard, that is the law.

The razor mice aren't that great, neither are the drivers. They're too expensive too.

Worst feature ever... I had to open my G5 to adjust the spring in the middle mouse button because I was never able to do a proper middle click without "tilting" which changed the active window and hits left/right arrow, a pain when you are trying to open something like a bookmark in a tab.
