The Plot of War

Just showing off a nifty jewel cover I made for an upcoming beta release of The Plot of War. Current price is five-hundred thousand dollars money. The beta will be free though, so have your fill on the Christmas release.

As I stated before, it's a mod more centered on tactics, and is 100% free of OTA and other illegal content.

So far, the game is fairly balanced, and plays great. :D

I tested PURE, and that's where I got the idea of airdrops :D.

I wanted to make a mod that is unique, style is simplistic, and the game has all sorts of unique units, and 2 mechs so far :D. A mod with no OTA content is a great idea, and I knew that I had enough skill to do it. [Mostly luck]

Can we get I2:Isaacment_Day's post removed please, I don't think he means it, nor does he understand the relevance of the mod.

*Snip*- Neddiedrow

And I do think you need to have fewer words for a jewel case PL. No matter how much you like them. :(

Nice work draco. The textures are certainly a bit different from what is normally seen, reminds me a bit of kernel panic.

Keep at it

NEW FORUMS WTF MAN!!!!

Also, progress kinda halted, since linux isn't the way to go as far as modding.

Textures? do you mean lack of textures?

Sounds cool. Too many words. Too much money. Sucky currency (USD=weak). I would not buy. Not even the newly rich and famous cabbage.

Can't release, since my pc "had to be wiped" I probably can't release until I get the $300 to get XP. Or, if I can somehow get the files off our site and tweak them more.

Ban that man, I found my XP cd, and installed it.

The only thing I can do, is link to a very recent version of the mod:

This is a recent build of the mod it has not been tested in Spring 76b1. Installation is the same as any other mod, just drop the folder in the mods folder.

There are siege tanks, an airdroppable mech, some shaders or something, and some mechs and planes.

Credits go to Overkill for the human commander model, me for all the scripting, fbi editing, and general modding, and Kamaroth for the Load Screens.

Getting some work done, mostly balance wise, since the current version has a ton of economy issues, and spamming is still possible. >_<

This mod would be made of pure win if it had better textures :p

But seriously, looking good. Models don't look that shabby, you just need some better textures! Hope to see a full fledged release soon!

There are textures already, and that is the way it is staying, go play *A if you want metal-style textures, because I'm not changing my designs.

Are you color blind? I mean you could have used better color tones so they don't bite each other in the butt.

That's a fine attitude for someone who's mod is hardly played in the lobby

And I agree with rattle. It's like Dune 2 meets Spring, except Dune 2 looks better

All the best with your mod

The degree to which one can appeal to Spring's demographics does not indicate one's worth.

I can fully agree with KDR_11k, both him and smoth have made great mods, and KDR_11k makes most of the proof-of-concept mods, which although are intended to be played, very few had a real release.
