The results should be subtle at best in terms of balance, but would improve the feel of the game.
Thing is i'm also getting into game design, and am doing research on game mechanics because making games is one of my long-term goals, so I really feel issues like this need to be discussed.

Now, i'd like to make it clear that I don't think the missiles to fly that fast, since it'd be over in a second or less, but also not as slow as it is now; or the muzzle flash disappearing after a few nanoseconds, but it shouldn't remain for so long either.
