Still useless, it requires Quicktime, which requires iTunes, which means nobody in their right mind can see it.

If they were going to waste game encoding the trailer in every format they could think of, they would've lost it.

Qucktime's a format that plays perfectly in Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. There's no huge reasons to encode the video in something else.

Yes, there is a version without itunes.

http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/

Just make sure the checkbox for windows download is checked and not the one with itunes. You dont have to enter your email to download it.

I love it when companies force stuff down your throat, lose 100% market share, and then go back to the way it was before without any announcement.

edit: Holy crap they burned the American flag! They're terrorists!

Duke Nukem 3d used to be my favorite game when I was 14. Why? Because the strippers would flash you.

It still remains a fave game of mine, though the strippers have lost their appeal due to the ease of finding pornography on the internet, the realization that real girls can be even more attractive, fun, and interesting as fake ones, and the fact that DK3d is a decade old and has fuzzy graphics.

The thing that appels to me is Duke killing aliens with shotguns and how the blood splatters over the wall and dribbles down the wall. Also they squish when crush them in doors...hehehe, what fun.

That looks like a crappy render roll to try to get some new investor cash. Moving on, lads!

The trailer is on moddb as well and plays in a flash player. Well, it doesn't show anything you wouldn't expect. Try the beta if you can get your hands on one without hax and worms.

I loved Duke3d with the soundpack a friend and his brother made. Enemies (especially the pigs) sounded like german turks and arabs and belching. Yeah lots of belching. The penthouse map was win.

If you do some poking around the internet, there is an OpenGL based Duke Port and high-quality texture/3D model project out there somewhere... I have it on my computer at home so I'll post the link to it when I get home if no-one else finds it.
