[offtopic] We had them in the OTA version on the Jedi, giving an armor bonus to nearby friendly troops. Pure BOS action thanks to zwzsg. When we get to Jedi in SWS, we'll certainly be using lua for it, though.KDR_11k wrote:Doesn't SWS have auras? I thought I've read about that.
... unless you count the flag capturing stuff as an aura, which I suppose it technically may as well be. [/offtopic]
Back on topic, yeah, needs less contrast. I personally like the text, since the area looks kind of empty without it.
Perhaps it'd be a good idea to roll out random header images, one for each mod? The text box and Spring logo would be constant, but each mod could submit its own little image (and have it automatically link to the mod's forum thread or something?). We certainly at least need to update the current one before exploring that avenue, though.

I I wanted an exact duplicate I would have simply linked to http://spring.clan-sy.com/res/logobar.jpgSinbadEV wrote:..metal-wavey bit at the top all wrong.

That's a point of view. I don't think the whole community agree with this priority. I can't imagine that the spring logo should reflect a dual core optimization :Dlbctech wrote:Spring has created. The next step is to conquer the world and support dual core/SLI. The logo should suggest/hint/reflect that.

I second that.Boirunner wrote:"Spring is a free, Open-Source Real Time Strategy Game Engine. "
That's it. All the info needed in one short sentence.
As for the thread, I think the image has a bit too much photoshop over it. A bit too colourful as well, needs to keep with the toned down style of the rest of the site.
But as others has said before me, great initiative!
