Yes,units lok like shit but they could look much better even if someone can just retexture them.
The textures are far worse and outdated than the models.
Same thing with the buildings in Ta based mod.We need new textures more than we need new models, much more.

redoing just the textures would be a waste of time. yes, most of the models are really that bad. and most of the kbots could do with better walkscripts.

Dont just whine about the textures. Here are 2 models, freely released, for anyone to have a crack at texturing. get cracking, otherwise its all just piss and wind.

shithot man! although that comment wasn't really directed at you x:

i should probably redo the uvmap. the rounded 'caps' on the tops of the vertical supports were intended to be teamcolour in my version of the texture. but would probably look better if they were joined onto the supports.

i redid the uv's and i put team color on the side. Its the team layer in the gimp file...
and the core thing should probably be redone from the ground up

my 'vision' for the texture had the 'sides' of the sunken in areas being teamcolour.

im a firm believer of having relatively large areas of vivid teamcolour, i want to be able to tell at a glance whose that tank is. none of this washed-out pastely stuff. either that or have no teamcolour at all, and let lua take care of that.

nice

IMO, the CAN is the ugliest thing ever concieved. It defies physics insanely, its ugly, it goes against the awesome embodied by core, and its ugly. It needs help. If I ever try to redo ta content (I plan on it but due to certain circumstances ...im to lazy to elaborate anyway), it will be the first thing I try to fix, followed by missile trucks.

All these redo projects are nice, but we need one good project so all the units will have the same style....

They dont just need redoing they need redesigning and re-conceptualizing. Its all fair and all having a prettier can or sumo or pyro, but its still a can, its still a sumo, and its still a pyro. Its not original artwork its derivative.
